I just can't decide if I want to put my house up for sale. So I called my agent Marion Harris and told her I'm ready. Marion gave me a list of things to get done before I am ready to 'show' the house. She says if there are no 'showings' in the first 30 days, it may be difficult to sell it at this time.
Kim and I have started on the list. This is a generic list I told Marion I'd work on before she came to view the house. This way, she can focus on other things (and I have a chance to get rid of a bunch of junk before she comes ;-)). Anyway, Kim is the queen of 'letting go....' Not at all like that Titanic chick (I'll never let go..). We started with the toughest area, the laundry room. Now we have tools, washer/dryer items, and items that will put in storeage while the house is 'on the market'. These include anything we won't be using before Nov. and my mass collection off fabrics and other crafts.
This morning I work up at 5 and waited for the sun to come up. When it did, I went to the backyard and began removing items from the shed and putting them in the front of the house for 'bulk pickup'. I got in a good 30 minutes of exercise when I had to stop to get ready for church.
I ended up washing my hair and am now under the dryer. It was so hot yesterday, I didn't want to work outside between 8am and 8pm. Maybe tonight I can do some more with the back yard. We have a picnic table that is aweful, I'm going to take it apart and put it out for trash too.
We've alrady donated about 6 of the outdoor trash bags of 'stuff' to the American Kidney Foundation. I'm sure we'll have that much more to donate within the month.
I scheduled Marion to see the houseon 7/28, so I've got just enough time to 'get er done'.
