Miss Hill

Before we took Kimmie back to LSU the day after Thanksgiving we meet up with Miss Hill (C4's teacher in Lafayette). We pledged to make it an annual event!

Gobble Gobble

We spent Thanksgiving with 'Auntie' Lori and her family. They took such good care of Christopher for me this year. I'm so Thankful for them all. Lafayette was nice and we even had Kimmie with us!

Fresh Coat

Friends and I are paining the house to get it updated and make it more 'homee'. We've done the living room, kitchen, dining room, and office (plus an area to be converted into a 'man cave' for Chris).

Jobarron drives through Baton Rouge

Me and my little brother! He was driving through Baton Rouge in his 18-wheeler and I was able to pick him up and we went to Kimmie's job to surprise her. He was on his way to Florida so we only have 1 hour with him.

Lafayette

This are going well in Lafayette. I went back to Dallas for a few days to get some work done then came back to Lafayette. I've been working out 6 days a week and going to Physical Theropy too. Kim and I went to Mardi Gras together. Chris stayed in Lafayette and went to a parade there instead.

Today I took Chris outside to ride the Razor Scooter given to him by Miss Hailey.

Saints Fans

You can't see it from this picture but they are both wearing Saints Shirts!!!!!

Chris' New Hat

Stopped at Wal-Mart on my way to Lafayette to get this for Chris. The Saints had won the Playoffs and were headed to their FIRST SUPERBOWL!!!!

We have to get him set to be a Saints Fan!

Mardi Gras Tree

REVISION: I took this second pic of Chris on Thanksgiving 2010 (10 mths later).

I sawthis tree at the Louisiana Welcome center. It's basically a Christmas tree decorated for Mardi Gras. I'm not sure when this tradition started. I'd only seen it recently. We had a safe trip to Lafayette. Chris got settled into our new home (in picture). We saw his new school on the drive. I drove back to Dallas on Monday. Chris started his new School today and told me that there are 2 recesses but they are only 12 minutes each (LOL) and that the lunch was 'okay'.

Dinner with neRee

After taking Chris to Lafayette I was driving back to Garland and called neRee (Renee Fitzhugh to you) and told her I wanted to stop by and see her. When I got to her house she had this AWESOME dinner waiting for me. Pecan Crusted Chicken over Greens and a home made Sauce (think she should snag the name neRee's sauce) that I couldn't get enough of! After I rolled myself away from the table (and because I'd had some wine) I spent the night and headed to the land of Gar the next a.m. Thanks Girlfriend and I LOVED spending the time with you AND my wonderful meal!!!!

Movin on Down

C4 and I are moving to Lafayette, Louisiana. I withdrew him from school in Texas and tomorrow he will get enrolled in his new school. Monday is Dr. King's Holiday so he will begin class on Tuesday. We are going to live with my BFF and her family until we can get on our own feet. Please pray with me that this is a good move and that Chris and I florish in our new environment. We'll be living 45 minutes from Kimmie and I'm excited about that too!
